Fry the onion in hot olive oil, add salt, add the cooked chickpeas, pour the broth and add the garlic. Bring the liquid to a boil and remove the pan from the heat.
Mix the yolks together with a pinch of saffron, add the yoghurt to them and make the combination homogeneous. Slowly pour 200 milliliters of the hot broth into the soup, stirring constantly.
Next are the eggs, which you pour in just as thoroughly, without stopping to stir.
Return the pan to the hob and let the soup cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, not allowing it to boil. When thickened, you can serve, sprinkling with fresh green spices and ground red pepper.
