Required products :

  • 80 grams of butter
  • 90 grams of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 130 grams of dark chocolate
  • 20 milliliters of light rum
  • 100 grams of walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon leavening agent
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • the optional glaze or powdered sugar for sprinkling

 

Method of preparation :

All products must be at room temperature, you also need a baking dish with a diameter of 18 cm.

Melt the chocolate (whichever you prefer), lightly roast the walnuts and grind until fine crumbs are obtained.

 

Mix the butter with the sugar and beat with a wire whisk. Add the eggs one by one, then add the melted and cooled chocolate.

Mix everything well. Finally, pour the "flour" of walnuts, leavening agent, vanilla, rum and mix until smooth.

 

Pour the "dough" into a form, the bottom of which you have previously covered with baking paper and place the cake in the oven at 170 - 175 degrees. Let it cook for about 45 minutes.

 

If you notice that the surface starts to toast, cover with foil.

Wait for the finished dessert to cool in the form and then remove.

 

Decorate as desired: you can pour your favorite glaze, sprinkle with powdered sugar or arrange as you see fit.
