How To Cook Chocolate Baklava With Walnuts And Honey-vanilla Syrup - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Chocolate baklava with walnuts and honey-vanilla syrup". Delicious recipe.

Necessary products

For honey-vanilla syrup:

250 milliliters of water
200 grams of sugar
200 grams of honey
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 pod of vanilla

About baklava:

100-150 grams of butter
18 leaves rolled crusts
250 grams of dark chocolate
250 grams of walnuts or other nuts of your choice
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Method of preparation :

Make the syrup first. In a suitable bowl, pour the water, add the sugar, honey, juice of half a lemon and put a pod of vanilla. Put the mixture on the stove and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Then remove the vanilla and allow the liquid to cool. You can put it in the fridge (but not hot).

Turn on the oven to preheat to 175 degrees and work on the filling for the baklava.
Mix the ground walnuts with the broken chocolate pieces and add the cinnamon.

Grease the pan with oil and arrange 8 crusts in it, smearing each of them with oil on both sides (melt it and wait for it to cool). Spread half of the filling evenly and put 3 more sheets of dough, which are also spread on both sides. Next is the remaining walnut filling and 7 more greased shells.

Using a sharp knife, cut into squares and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Then cover with foil and let the baklava bake for another 25 minutes.

When it is ready, pour it while still hot with the honey syrup and let it cool completely (it is best to stand overnight).

Enjoy your meal!
