With just a few simple steps, you can turn plain chocolate into a divine treat with this quick recipe. An ideal gift for a loved one, beautifully packaged in a candy box. Use your imagination for this.

Required products :

  • 2 cups chocolate, bitter or sweet
  • 1/2 cup unsalted roasted cashews, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds, lightly roasted
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, lightly roasted
  • 1 teaspoon anise, lightly roasted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

* A tea cup is used to measure the quantities.

Method of preparation :

Place a layer of foil on parchment paper.

Roast the nuts and seeds in a dry pan over medium heat, stirring constantly for 2 to 4 minutes.

Put the chocolate in a medium bowl and heat in the microwave for 1 minute. Stir and return to the microwave for as long as it takes to melt completely. You can also do this in a water bath.

Mix in a small bowl the cashews, sunflower and sesame seeds, anise and salt. Pour half of the mixture into the bowl with melted chocolate. Spread the nut mixture on the foil and spread in a square shape. Sprinkle on top with the remaining mixture of nuts. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set.

Separate the chocolate bars from the foil and place on a cutting board. Cut into squares.
