How To Cook Chocolate Cake With Coconut And Orange Syrup - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 eggs
  • 200-250 grams of sugar
  • 200 milliliters of kefir or yogurt
  • 100 milliliters of oil
  • 1 teaspoon (without tip) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • 2.5-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 3 tablespoons coconut shavings and separately to sprinkle the finished cake


For syrup:

100-150 milliliters of freshly squeezed orange juice
3 tablespoons sugar a
piece of orange peel if desired


Method of preparation :

Add the soda to the milk / kefir, add 3 tablespoons of coconut shavings and leave the mixture for 10 minutes. Then pour the oil, beat the eggs, sweeten with sugar and beat.

Sift the flour with the baking powder, vanilla and cocoa. Pour the dry mixture over the other products, mix by hand or use a mixer for this purpose.

If your mold is not silicone, spread it, sprinkle with flour and pour the dough into it.

Bake the cake at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven, check the readiness with a toothpick.

Make the syrup by boiling the freshly squeezed citrus juice with the sugar for 5-7 minutes. If desired, put pieces of orange peel.

While it is hot, pour it over the dessert (it should be chilled), decorate with coconut shavings and enjoy!
