How To Cook Chocolate Cake With Cognac Syrup, Coconut Filling And Icing - Recipe

Necessary products

For swamps:

3 eggs
150 grams sugar
100 grams flour
50 grams starch
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 packet baking powder
3 tablespoons coconut shavings

For cream:

500 milliliters of milk
5-6 tablespoons of semolina
200 grams of butter
2/3 teaspoon of sugar
200 grams of coconut shavings

For syrup:

8 tablespoons sugar
12 tablespoons water
4 tablespoons cognac

For the glaze:

4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons cocoa
50 grams butter

 

Method of preparation :

First make the swamps. Beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy, add the flour, starch, cocoa and baking powder. Beat once more, then add the coconut shavings and mix everything.

Spread the dough in a suitable form and level the surface. Bake at 180 degrees in the oven until ready, which you can check with a toothpick or other wooden stick.

Cut the finished loaf horizontally into 2-3 parts and apply the cream.

Put the milk on the stove and bring to a boil. When this happens, start stirring and add the semolina gradually. Boil a thick paste, to which add the coconut shavings as soon as it cools down a bit. Stir.

Beat the butter (at room temperature) with the sugar until the crystals are completely dissolved. Then add the porridge to the sweet butter mixture and beat everything thoroughly.

It's time for the syrup. Mix the water with the sugar, bring the combination to a boil, remove from the heat, allow to cool slightly, pour in the cognac and stir.

Make the chocolate glaze by combining sugar, milk and cocoa. Then put on low heat and stir until thickened. Towards the end of cooking, add the butter and stir until it melts. Cool the glaze a bit.

It's time to "assemble" the cake. First, syrup one of the loaves, which will be the base. Cover it with coconut cream and put the next loaf. Soak it with the sweet liquid and spread with cream. If you have made 3 swamps, do the same with the third. Finally, pour the cake with the chocolate icing and put it in the fridge for a while before serving.
