Necessary products:

  • 1 kg of flour
  • 300 milliliters of fresh milk
  • 80 grams of cold butter
  • 42 grams of fresh yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • 5 eggs
  • 5 grams of vanilla
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • peel and juice of an orange
  • 4-5 crushed cookies
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 150 grams of melted dark chocolate

Method of preparation:

Sift the flour several times to allow air to enter and place in a suitable kneading bowl. Heat the milk and dissolve the yeast and vanilla. Beat the eggs with the sugar until a fluffy cream is obtained and add the oil.

Stir and add grated orange peel. Set the juice aside. Combine the liquid and dry ingredients, make a dough and add the butter while kneading. Leave to rise, roll out a large crust and spread it with chocolate.

Roll up a roll, put it in an elongated form, lined with a sheet of parchment. Put the resulting Easter cake in the oblong shape and wait for it to double in volume once more. Meanwhile, make the glaze by mixing the orange juice with the powdered sugar.

Glaze the Easter cake, sprinkle with the cookies and bake in a preheated 170 degree oven until done. Make sure it is baked with a dry wooden stick. Cool, cut and serve.

Enjoy!
