Method of preparation :
Heat the milk in a small saucepan until it reaches about 50 degrees. Add the yeast and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
Add the egg, flour, sugar and cardamom to the yeast. Mix with a mixer with a dough attachment until you get an elastic and smooth dough - for about 10 minutes.
Gradually add the butter - spoon by spoon, continuing to knead - this way you will get the threads in the dough.
Transfer the kneaded dough to a bowl, cover with foil and leave to rise under a towel for about an hour - an hour and a half. Press the dough down with your fist and cover it tightly with plastic wrap, then refrigerate overnight.
Put the dough on a well floured sheet of baking paper and roll it out. Cover with foil and cool for 30-60 minutes.
Prepare the filling with butter, cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
Spread the filling over 2/3 of the dough. Fold as shown in the next photo, then roll out the dough to thin.
Cut the dough into strips about 2.5-3 centimeters thick.
Wind each strip in a spiral to twist. Wrap the ribbon around your fingers and form a knot out of it.
Arrange the bundles in trays lined with paper. Cover with foil and leave to rise again for 40-60 minutes.
Bake at 165 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Heat the remaining 1 cup of brown sugar together with half a cup of water in a saucepan until the sugar melts and begins to form a syrup - for about 5 minutes.
Spread the syrup on the Easter bundles, wait 5 minutes and spread them again if you like more syrupy desserts.
