Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 7 grams of dry yeast
  • 1/3 tea cup sugar
  • 3/4 tea cup of fresh milk
  • 4 + 1 tablespoons butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 4 teaspoons flour

For the stuffing:

  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons butter

For coverage:

  • 3/4 tea cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1.5 teaspoons crushed nuts

Method of preparation:

Mix warm water, yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar, stir until the sugar dissolves and leave for 5 minutes. Add the milk, butter, egg yolks, orange peel, salt, remaining sugar and 3 teaspoons of flour. Mix with a mixer on low speed and gradually add the remaining flour. Knead the dough on medium speed (3 - 5 minutes - until smooth). Shape into a ball and place in a bowl greased with oil, roll the dough in it to cover with fat. Cover with a towel and leave to rise for about 1 hour (if the place is not warm enough, maybe 2 hours). After doubling its volume twice, mix and place on a floured surface and leave for 20 minutes.

Make the filling. Mix sugar and cinnamon, melt butter. Roll out the dough in the form of a rectangle measuring 30 x 45 cm, spread with melted butter and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Roll into a roll, starting on the long side, cut into 15 pieces.

The glaze. Mix the sugar, butter, honey and syrup. Heat over low heat, stirring, until sugar and butter are melted. Pour the mixture into a form greased with oil measuring about 23 x 33 cm and sprinkle with nuts. Place the sliced dough flat down on the prepared coating. Cover with foil and leave at room temperature to allow the rolls to rise and then refrigerate overnight.

The next day, remove from the refrigerator and leave again at room temperature until the oven heats up. Its temperature should be 190 degrees. Bake the rolls (about 30 - 35 minutes). Turn them over as soon as you take them out of the oven, wait for them to cool down a bit and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
