Required products :

For swamps :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 1/2 tea cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 tea cup of strong coffee
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk tea
  • 1 egg + 1 egg white, beaten with a fork
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the chocolate glaze :

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 tea cup butter
  • 1/4 tea cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method of preparation :

 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease a round pan measuring approximately 23 centimeters.
  • In a large bowl, mix the sugar, flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Set aside.
  • Melt the butter over low heat. Add the coffee and stir. Remove from the heat.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla extract. Stir well.
  • Add the oil mixture to the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir briefly.
  • Add the egg mixture and mix until homogeneous.
  • Pour the dough into the form and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Allow the marshmallows to cool completely before preparing the chocolate glaze.
  • Heat the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • After about 1 minute, add the vanilla, stir and remove from the heat.
  • Transfer the marshmallows to a tray that you have placed on a sheet of baking paper.
  • Pour the chocolate icing in the center and let it spread over the cake.
  • Cut and serve.
