Necessary products:

  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams of butter
  • 1 pack. vanilla sugar
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • soda, vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 400-500 grams of flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • grated chocolate and powdered sugar for decoration

Method of preparation:

Beat the eggs with the sugar, add the vanilla sugar. Cut the pre-softened butter with a knife, put it too. Mash everything well with a fork or beat with a mixer. Quench the soda in the vinegar (lemon juice).

Divide the mixture into two parts. In one add flour, the first mix with a fork, then continues with your hands. Use as much flour as needed so that the dough does not stick to your hands. In the second part put the cocoa, flour, and knead in the mentioned way. Form two balls of different dough and put them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, maybe an hour.

After removing the dough from the refrigerator, roll out to a thickness of 3-4 mm. Use a cup and cut out circles. With a smaller round shape (for example, a cap from a container with a small neck, salt shaker, etc.) make a smaller circle without cutting. Using a straw, cut holes (like a button).

Arrange the "buttons" in a tray lined with baking paper. Put in the oven for about 30-40 minutes at 180-200 degrees. Make sure they do not burn.

Sprinkle with grated chocolate white buttons, and with powdered sugar - brown.

Enjoy your meal!
