Required products :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh cranberries (use dark if you can't find red)
  • 1/3 tea cup brown sugar
  • peel of 1 small orange or tangerine
  • 2 1/4 tea cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 tablespoons butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup fresh milk

Method of preparation :

Turn the oven to 175 degrees and line two large trays with paper or grease them.

Put the blueberries with the brown sugar and the orange peel in the bowl of the food processor. Make a few pulsations to cut the fruit.

Pour into a bowl.

Put the flour, baking powder and salt in the robot. Add the butter and with a few pulsations make crumbs from the mixture.

Pour the flour and butter over the blueberries and stir. Pour the milk in portions so that the dough starts to stand together on a ball, but it should still be crumbly and dry.

Sprinkle a kitchen board with flour and place the flour on top. Shape it into a ball and flatten it slightly.

Cut into triangular pieces (like pizza) and arrange in the pan.

Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until done.

Serve the consonant biscuits warm, along with your favorite drink.

If desired, you can pour a glaze of powdered sugar and lemon, or sugar with rum, vanilla and others.
