Separate the corn kernels from the cobs.
Heat olive oil and fry the corn with the peppers and red onions, stirring often. Cook for about 5 minutes, remove from the heat, transfer to a bowl, season with salt and pepper and stir. Season with olive oil if desired.
Serve the corn salad hot or chilled. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves and serve.
