Required products :

  • 2 tea cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 420 grams of canned corn, drained
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour diluted with water
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon chicken fillet, boiled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped

Method of preparation :

  • Mix the broth, water, sweet corn, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and corn flour in a large saucepan.
  • Heat them over high heat and after the mixture boils, reduce the heat to medium.
  • Cook for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Season with salt, turn off the heat and slowly add the beaten egg, stirring constantly.
  • Add the chicken and season with freshly crushed white pepper.
  • Divide the corn soup into bowls, garnish with green onions and serve.
