How To Cook Couscous With Wheat Germ, Tomatoes And Olives - Recipe

Required products :

150 grams of couscous
40 grams of wheat germ
2 medium ripe tomatoes
10 olives
1 small bunch of parsley, coriander or other favorite green spice
juice of 1/2 lemon
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 teaspoon ground cumin
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Separate the parsley leaves, leave them for the moment, and chop the stems finely.
In a saucepan, mix the couscous, chopped stalks and cumin. Add half of the olive oil and stir so that the fat covers all the grains.
Pour 1 teaspoon of hot water (or according to the preparation instructions indicated on the package), close the container with a lid and let the mixture stand for about 5-7 minutes.
Then "scatter" the couscous with a fork, the grains should be separated from each other.
Put on the stove to boil, during which time cut the tomatoes into small pieces.
Peel the olives, cut them randomly.
Add the wheat germ, chopped tomatoes and olives to the prepared couscous, pour over the lemon juice and the remaining olive oil. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste, sprinkle with parsley leaves and serve.
