How To Cook Crispy Apple Strudel With Raisins And Walnuts - Recipe

Required products :

400 grams of flour

1 tablespoon wine vinegar 6%

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

150 milliliters of warm water

150 grams of butter

 

For the stuffing:

6 - 8 large apples

200 grams of raisins

5 - 6 tablespoons of sugar

10 walnuts (optional)

4 tablespoons breadcrumbs

 

Method of preparation :

Pour the sifted flour into a large bowl, add the salt, make a depression in the center and beat the eggs in it. Then add olive oil and vinegar. Knead the dough with your hands, gradually pouring warm water. Knead for 15 - 20 minutes, you should get a soft elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. You may need more or less flour than indicated, consider during preparation. The amount depends on the type of product you choose, as different flours have different absorbency, gluten content and other indicators are important.

Divide the dough into 8 parts, shape into balls, flatten each and spread with butter.

 

Arrange them on top of each other, pinch their edges and place in a large bowl or other container. Cover with a lid or cover with foil and store in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

When you take the dough out of the fridge, grease the loaves again with butter and place them on top of each other two by two. Roll out the two parts as thin as possible and transfer them to a suitable piece of cloth, gradually stretching on all sides to obtain an almost transparent dough.

Then spread with melted butter, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and spread a thin layer of stuffing over the entire surface. Roll up two rolls and place them in a greased pan.

 

Put the strudels in the oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 130 degrees and let them cook for another 20-30 minutes. Grease them three times with oil during baking.

 

You can serve the dessert both hot and cold.
