Required products :

100 grams of butter

200 - 250 grams of flour

1 tablespoon sour cream

1/3 teaspoon salt

100 grams of powdered sugar

1 egg yolk

egg for spreading

½ teaspoon vanilla sugar

food colors

Method of preparation :

Mix the softened butter with the powdered sugar, add the cream, egg yolk, vanilla sugar (or extract), salt. Then pour the flour (sifted) gradually and knead an elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Divide it into 2 parts: 1/3 and 2/3. Roll out the larger one into a rectangle about 15 cm wide, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour. Divide the rest of the dough into as many pieces as you have planned to paint the "pencils". Mix each of the colorants with the dough (it is good to use gloves).

Form thin "tips", making sure that their diameter is not more than 0.5 cm and store them in the refrigerator.

When you take the rectangular layer of dough out of the fridge, spread it with beaten egg. Cut the dough into strips about 2.5 cm. Then put the colored tip on the white strip and roll. It is better to roll with the help of the foil so that the dough does not stick to the work surface and your hands. Roll tightly and tightly, there should be no space between the dough and the colored heart. Work carefully because there is a possibility of rupture due to the fine structure.

Spread the finished pencils with beaten egg and arrange them in a tray lined with baking paper. Place in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

When the baked pencils have cooled completely, you can "sharpen" them by carefully scraping them with a sharp knife.

Good appetite and even better mood :)
