How To Cook Dessert With Walnuts, Porridge And Turmeric (without Baking) - Recipe

Method of preparation :

  • 1 teaspoon pitted dates
  • water for soaking
  • 3 tablespoons liquefied coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (maybe pecans)
  • 2 teaspoons raw Indian cashews
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method of preparation :

Soak the dates in water for 3 hours to soften, then blend them with the walnuts and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.

Line a tray with detachable walls with parchment paper. The diameter of the mold should be about 16 centimeters. Press the mixture on the bottom to get a loaf. Refrigerate for 2 hours until firm.

Blend the cashews, maple syrup, turmeric and other oil, lemon peel and juice until you get a thick puree. If you can't blend, add a little coconut oil.

Pour over the marsh and smooth. Refrigerate the dessert for 3 hours until the creamy layer is firm.

Garnish with berries, nuts, lime slices or anything else of your choice.
