Necessary products:

  • 300 ml of fresh milk
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 500 g flour (the quantity is approximate)
  • 1 - 2 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • pinch of salt
  • frying oil
  • 300 g thick cherry jam
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method of preparation:

Heat 130 ml of fresh milk, put in it the yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 3 tablespoons of flour; leave for 1 hour. Beat the eggs, melt the butter. Add another 170 ml of milk, sugar, salt, beaten eggs, butter, sifted flour to the milk with the yeast and knead the dough. It often makes a sticky, even liquid dough, smooth and shiny. Put in a bowl, cover it and leave in a warm place for 1.5 - 2 hours (it will increase its volume a lot).
