Required products :

  • 110 grams of powdered sugar
  • 110 grams of butter, soft, at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 225 grams of sifted flour
  • mix of spices of your choice (cinnamon, vanilla, etc.)
  • 55 grams of raisins
  • 30 grams of candied orange peel
  • 3 tablespoons fresh milk

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 160 degrees and cover tray with parchment paper.

Separate the egg white from the egg yolk.

Using a mixer, beat the butter and sugar until smooth, fluffy and creamy. Add the egg yolk and stir until well combined.

Put the flour in the mixture, stir, add the spices of your choice, raisins and finely chopped candied crusts. Add the milk and knead a firm dough.

Pour the dough on a floured kitchen counter and cut out the desired shapes with sweet cutters. Place in a pan and bake for 10 minutes.

Take them out of the oven, spread them with beaten egg whites and sprinkle them with a little sugar, then return them to bake for another 5-10 minutes until pale golden brown.

Remove the biscuits and allow them to cool on a wire rack.
