The dried tomatoes we buy from the store cannot be compared in taste with the home-made ones, so if you want to really enjoy the full taste of the tomatoes, prepare them at home.

It's not as hard as it sounds. If you imagine that you need to dry them almost on the terrace and you are already late - not at all.

You can cook them in the oven in one day and enjoy them whenever you want.

For this you need tomatoes - better to be smaller. Estimate the amount according to your needs and desires.

Cut the tomatoes you have chosen lengthwise and spoon the seeds (if your tomatoes are larger, cut them into quarters).

Turn the oven to 100 degrees while cooking the tomatoes.

Use a sharp knife to make a small crack in them.

Cover a large pan with aluminum foil and place a baking tray on top.

Arrange the tomatoes with the cut side up, not touching each other.

Sprinkle lightly with salt (optionally finely ground sea).

Dry them at 100 degrees, watching them, they should not become hard or crispy, but retain their elasticity.

Drying can take from 6 to 12 hours.

When ready, allow to cool completely.

Put them in a zippered bag and use as you see fit.
