Required products :
250 milliliters of fresh milk
30 grams of fresh yeast
500 - 700 grams of flour
3 eggs
200 grams of sugar
100 grams of butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
100 grams of crushed walnuts
100 grams of raisins
100 grams of candied fruit
Method of preparation :
Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk, add 200 grams of flour and stir, cover and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes. Mix the yolks with the sugar and vanilla, beat the egg whites to a froth.
Add the yolks to the yeast mixture, stir. Then add the softened butter and egg whites, stirring again after adding each of the products. Pour the remaining flour and knead a pliable dough. Leave it warm for an hour, knead once more and wait for it to rise again. When this happens, divide it into 3 parts and roll each of them into a layer measuring 10 x 50 cm.
Spread the walnuts on one layer, flatten and roll into a long narrow roll. Press its edges well. Pour the second layer of dough with the raisins, roll in the same way. Sprinkle the third with the candied fruit and form a roll again. From the three parts knit a braid and shape like a wreath. Place it in a greased pan and place a fireproof round dish in the middle of the dough.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 35 - 40 minutes. If desired, you can sprinkle with sesame seeds.
