It is not difficult to prepare sesame tahini yourself . The taste is very rich, the ingredients are of guaranteed origin, and the price is much more favorable than that of the finished product offered on the market.

Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2-3 tablespoons of oil of your choice - olive oil, grape seed oil or other vegetable option
  • pinch of salt

Method of preparation :

Start by roasting sesame seeds. Turn the stove to medium heat and heat a dry pan. Pour sesame seeds and stir often using a wooden spoon. Bake the seeds until golden brown and release their aroma for about 5 minutes.

Transfer them to a wide plate and allow to cool completely. An alternative is to bake sesame seeds in the oven at 180 degrees again for 5 minutes to get the same effect. Transfer the cooled seeds to the bowl of the food processor with the S-knife inserted. Turn on the robot, after about 2 minutes the sesame should have turned into a thick paste.

Gradually add the oil without stopping the appliance. If necessary, you can add more fat than the specified amount, the goal is to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Finally, it's time for salt.

Store the finished tahini in a tightly closed jar in the refrigerator.

Enjoy your meal!
