Start by feeding the yeast. Put it in a bowl of water (the water should be close to body temperature). Leave for 5 minutes for the yeast to begin to swell.
Combine milk, butter, sugar and salt. Pour in the yeast, add 1 cup of water and stir to make a liquid dough.
Start adding flour, put 4 1/2 tea cups, then if necessary, add more to get a soft elastic dough. Knead for 10-12 minutes until you get the desired consistency. If necessary, sprinkle the worktop with flour.
Grease a large bowl with oil and put the dough there to rise. Cover it with foil. An hour later, the dough should have doubled.
Sprinkle the work surface again with flour and knead the dough. Divide it into 2 equal balls and let rest for 10 minutes.
Grease two small rectangular cake pans with oil or use kitchen spray. Place a ball of dough in each of the trays. Leave to rise in the pans for another 30-40 minutes.
Turn on the oven to preheat to 210 degrees. When it reaches the desired degrees, place the bread in the middle to bake. The moment you put the bread in the oven, reduce the temperature to 185 degrees. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the bread with a little water, cover to soften the crust. Cut after it has cooled.
