Required products :

8 eggs

1/2 large onion

1 medium green pepper

1/2 large red pepper if desired

200 grams of ham

1 tablespoon oil + a little to spread on the pan

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup fresh milk

200 grams of yellow cheese or suitable melted cheese (cheddar type)

salt and pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Onions and peppers (cleaned of seeds) cut into small cubes. Heat the oil and butter in a suitable pan, add the onion, peppers, pinch of salt and fry over low heat for about 3 minutes.

Also cut the ham into small cubes, add it to the vegetables and let everything cook until the peppers and onions soften, stirring often. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the contents to cool slightly.

Meanwhile, beat the eggs with the milk, salt and pepper to taste. Grate the yellow cheese in bulk and pour it over the eggs together with the vegetables and ham. Stir the mixture and transfer it to a small tall pan greased with oil. Bake the omelette casserole at 200 degrees for about 20-25 minutes (or until done).

When you take it out of the oven, cover the dish with a towel for 10 minutes. Then cut and serve as breakfast or dinner.

Enjoy your meal!
