Required products :

  • 170 grams of dates, without seeds
  • 3/4 tea cup wholemeal flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tea cup almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons soft butter
  • 1/3 tea cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons agave or honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon coconut shavings
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lime peel
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut chips

Method of preparation :

Turn the oven to 175 degrees.

Spray a square tray (16x16 cm) with cooking spray and place two sheets of baking paper crosswise so that the edges protrude from the tray.

Pour the dates in 1 cup of water and boil them on low heat until the liquid has almost evaporated. Cool completely.

Meanwhile, grind the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and 1 cup almonds. Add coconut and cow butter, sugar, 2 tablespoons agave (honey) and combine with a few pulsations. Add 1 cup of coconut shavings.

Transfer the mixture to the pan and stir the marsh well, you can also use the bottom of a glass to level it.

Grind the dates, lemon zest and juice in a robot to make a puree. Pour over the marsh and flatten.

Cut the remaining almonds in bulk, mix them with coconut chips and sawdust, add the remaining honey. Stir and sprinkle the mixture on the layer of dates.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, then cool and cut into rectangles.

Store at room temperature.
