Necessary products:

  • 4 pieces of hake (about 500 - 600 g)
  • frying oil
  • left

For the white sauce:

  • 20 g butter
  • 20 g flour
  • 2 tsp water

For the tomato sauce:

  • 3 large carrots (about 250 g)
  • 1 medium onion head
  • 1 medium apple (about 100 g)
  • 500 g tomato juice
  • spices (basil, garlic, parsley, dill, rosemary, nutmeg, cloves, black pepper)
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation:

Grind the carrots as finely as possible with a blender, wash the fish, dry and salt.

Make a white sauce: mix the flour and butter in a saucepan, stir until boiling, add boiling water and simmer for about 20 minutes. Stir all the time so as not to burn.

Fry the fish on both sides for 5 minutes, it is desirable to roll it in flour beforehand. Remove to a plate and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Fry the chopped onion and minced carrots in oil, pour the tomato juice over them, add the grated apple and spices. Add the white tomato sauce to the resulting tomato and strain the mixture so that no lumps remain. Put the fish in it, close the pan with a lid and stew for about 20 minutes on medium heat.
