How To Cook French Christmas Breakfast Of Slices In The Oven - Recipe

We present you a festive version of the recipe for fried slices, in which case they are baked, which makes them healthier. We added apricot jam and cinnamon for an even more irresistible taste.

Required products :

  • 20 branches
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Method of preparation :

In each slice, cut a Christmas tree figurine - use a cookie cutter, and if you don't have one, do it with a knife.

Grease a pan with oil. Arrange the slices, overlapping them slightly.

In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, jam, spices and sugar. Pour the mixture over the bread and make sure that each slice is well covered with the mixture. Leave for 2 hours in the refrigerator (preferably overnight).

Turn the oven to 170 degrees and bake the slices until golden.

Once baked, sprinkle with powdered sugar and garnish with fruit and maple syrup.
