Required products :

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 large onions, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1/4 tea glass of sherry wine
  • 220 grams of cream fry
  • 1/2 teaspoon yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped chives
  • toast for serving

Method of preparation :

Put the butter in a pan to melt. Add onion, season with salt and pepper and fry under a lid, stirring occasionally, cook for about 8-10 minutes on medium heat.

Remove the lid and continue frying until the onion is caramel in color - another 30-40 minutes. Add a little water (about 1-2 tablespoons) if it starts to burn the pan a lot. When the onion is ready, add the thyme and sherry wine. Wait for it to evaporate and remove the onion from the heat, leave to cool.

Mix onion with yogurt, cream fries and lemon peel. Put almost the entire amount of chives and stir. Leave the dip to stand for at least 30 minutes to combine the aromas.

Sprinkle with the remaining chives before serving. Serve with toasted slices or crackers.
