Fried bean bites are a nice warm appetizer, which in Somalia is usually served with hot green pepper sauce. They are especially popular on Ramadan in East Africa.

Required products :

  • 2 teaspoons raw black bean eye
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1-2 hot peppers, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of vinegar
  • frying fat

Method of preparation :

Soak the beans in warm water from the night before. In the morning, wash it under running hot water, rubbing with your hands to clean its scales as much as possible, then dry it well.

Blend all ingredients until soft dough. If you have more time to cook, refrigerate the dough for a few hours.

 

Form small bites with your hands and fry in hot fat for about 1 minute on the loom.

Serve with hot green pepper sauce.
