Required products :

  • 600 grams of chicken mill
  • 3 onions
  • 50 milliliters of oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Method of preparation :

Clean and wash the mills, cut them into 2-3 pieces (depending on their size) and put in a bowl.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, stir and leave for 10 minutes at room temperature.

Meanwhile, peel and cut the onion into semicircles about 3 millimeters wide.

Heat the oil in a pan and pour the watermelon into it, draining the liquid beforehand. Fry them for a few minutes on high heat, stirring.

Then reduce the temperature of the hob, close the pan with a lid. Thus, the mills will release liquid and will suffocate in their own juice. Remember to stir periodically.

Cook until soft. You will need to be patient for a little over an hour. If the liquid evaporates earlier, add a little water.

It's time to increase the heat and add the onion. Continue to cook the dish without a lid, stirring constantly. All the liquid must be evaporated and the mills fried.

Season further and add more oil if needed.

Fry until the millet acquires a nice golden color.

Serve them hot, and as a side dish it is best to offer mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.

Enjoy your meal!
