How To Cook Fried Meatballs With Crispy Breadcrumbs And Ricotta - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Fried meatballs with crispy breadcrumbs and ricotta". Delicious recipe.

Most of us are huge fans of fried meatballs and everyone has their own way of cooking them. We offer you another option for very crunchy meatballs.

Required products :

  • 1/3 tea cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (pressed with a press)
  • 2 teaspoons fennel seeds - toasted and lightly crushed
  • 1 1/4 tablespoon dried sage leaves
  • 1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 220 grams of minced pork
  • 24 fresh sage leaves
  • 3/4 tea cup flour
  • 1 egg - lightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons Panko breadcrumbs
  • Marinara sauce for serving
  • frying oil

Method of preparation :

Mix the ricotta with 2 tablespoons of oil and stir until smooth. Add the crushed garlic cloves, spices - fennel, black and red pepper, salt, dry sage. Add the meat and mix by hand until all the products are well mixed.

Using a tablespoon, take some of the mixture and shape it into a ball with your hands. Arrange the balls on a tray covered with baking paper. Place a leaf of sage on top of each meatball and press lightly to stick. Divide the flour, egg and panko breadcrumbs into 3 plates. Roll each meatball in flour first, then dip in the egg and roll in the breadcrumbs. Return to the tray with the remaining meatballs.

Heat a deep frying pan with more fat - about 4-5 cm at the bottom. When the oil is hot enough (if you have a thermometer, the temperature should reach 160 degrees) fry the meatballs in portions.

Allow them to drain on a wire rack placed on another tray lined with baking paper (this will make it easier to clean after cooking).

If you want, you can store the meatballs in the freezer for 1 month after you have fried them. When you decide to serve them, arrange them on a wire rack and bake them for 15 minutes at 140 degrees.

Serve the meatballs with marinara sauce.
