Required products :

  • 500 grams of minced meat mixture / beef and pork /
  • 1 egg
  • 100 milliliters of fresh milk, slightly warmed
  • 100 grams of white bread
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, pressed
  • rosemary
  • marjoram
  • paprika
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 100 grams of breadcrumbs
  • frying oil

Method of preparation :

 

  • Cut the bread into a bowl and pour the warmed milk over it. Stir gently with your hands. The bread should be soaked in milk, but not float in it, so pour off the excess.
  • In a large bowl, combine the minced meat, onion, garlic, soaked bread and egg.
  • Season with rosemary, marjoram, paprika, salt and pepper to taste and knead the minced meat.
  • Moisten your hands and start shaping the meatballs without squeezing them. Just roll the minced meat in your palms. Arrange the finished meatballs on a wooden cutting board.
  • Pour the breadcrumbs into a plate.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Take a meatball, lightly press it in your palms and roll on all sides in breadcrumbs, making sure it is covered evenly. Repeat with the others.
  • Fry the meatballs until golden brown and transfer them to kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Serve warm with green or potato salad.
