Remember to plan the preparation of this recipe in advance, because you will need to freeze the pie for at least 8 hours or preferably overnight to achieve the perfect texture.

Necessary products:

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 10 crackers "Graham"
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chilled cream
  • 4 limes
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons tequila blanco

Method of preparation:

the basis:

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, then allow to cool.

Crush the Graham crackers in a blender or chopper. Add the melted butter, sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Beat until the mixture begins to resemble wet sand. Transfer the base mixture to a pie tin. Use the bottom of a cup to press the mixture evenly down and sideways into the form. Freeze for 20 minutes in the freezer.

filling:

Beat the cream in a medium bowl for about 4 minutes or until stiff peaks form.
Finely grate the rind of 1 lime in a small bowl and set aside. Squeeze the juice of the four limes and strain through a fine sieve (you should get about 1/2 cup of juice).

Mix lime juice, condensed milk, tequila and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a bowl and beat until smooth. Then add the whipped cream and mix gently, being careful to keep as much air as possible in the mixture.

Remove the pie base from the freezer and pour the filling inside, distributing evenly with a spoon. Sprinkle with lime peels and freeze again for at least 8 hours.

Leave to soften in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before cutting. Then you can enjoy it with the whole family!

The pie can be stored covered and refrigerated in the refrigerator or freezer for 3 days.

Enjoy it!
