However, the perception is shattered by British scientists, who say this is not always the case. A study has shown that fruits and vegetables are more useful in frozen form than fresh because they contain more vitamins and nutrients. In addition, we must mention the antioxidants that prevent the development of cancer: lutein, vitamin C, beta-carotene, anthocyanin.
In fact, all frozen fruits and vegetables showed a higher content of useful trace elements compared to the same products in the raw state. For example, frozen carrots turn out to have three times more lutein and beta-carotene than fresh ones. In broccoli, scientists have found high levels of vitamin C and beta-carotene.
In fact, the freshness of vegetables can be deceptive if purchased from the supermarket. It is quite possible that they are stored for a long time in warehouses, losing their valuable properties.
