Learn how to cook "Garlic cakes with spinach and green onions". Delicious recipe.

Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 800 grams of flour (wheat)
  • 2 tablespoons dry active yeast (without tip)
  • 500 hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 6 tablespoons oil

For the stuffing:

  • 100 grams of spinach
  • 1 bunch green onions (can be replaced with an old one)
  • parsley
  • 3 medium-sized cloves of garlic or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon spices of your choice or mash
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (or to taste, or maybe without it)
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation :

Dissolve the yeast in warm water, add the flour, salt, sugar, oil and knead the dough. Cover with cling film and leave to rise.

Finely chop the spinach, green onions and parsley, chop finely, squeeze the garlic cloves and mix the products. Add the spices to them, pour olive oil and lemon juice if desired.

Put half of the dough on a floured surface and give it a roll shape and divide into 8-10 approximately equal parts.

Squeeze each of them lightly and put a full teaspoon of green stuffing, which is distributed over the entire surface.

Then join two of the ends of the dough and press the dough firmly with your hand. You need to flatten it well, then pull it out with your hands without worrying about it breaking and the filling showing.

Grease the surface with oil and sprinkle with mash (you can use savory).

Pour 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, heat and bake the bread on medium heat. After about a minute, its color will change, then turn to the other side and press to the bottom of the dish with a spatula for a few seconds. Once it turns yellow, remove on paper.

Thus prepare all the dough. From its total quantity, between 16 and 24 pieces are obtained, depending on the size.

The dough can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen, the filling retains its flavor for several days in the refrigerator.

The cakes are delicious both hot and cold.

Enjoy your meal!
