How To Cook Garlic Soup With Bread, Cheese And White Wine - Recipe

Required products :

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 onions
12 cloves garlic
200 milliliters of dry white wine
250 milliliters of chicken broth
1 bay leaf
400 grams of baguette or white bread
150 milliliters of cream with 33% fat
100 grams of hard cheese or Gruyere type


Method of preparation :

Break the bread into small pieces.


Peel an onion and cut it thinly, mash the garlic with a press.


Heat olive oil over medium heat and fry onion and garlic in it for about 10-12 minutes.

 

Then pour the wine, close the pot with a lid, reduce the temperature a little and let the vegetables cook for 10 minutes, stirring.

Pour the chicken broth, add the bay leaf and let the mixture boil for 30 minutes. Then remove from the heat, add the bread and wait for it to absorb the liquid.


Remove the bay leaf and transfer the contents of the bowl to a blender. Grind until smooth and return to the pan. Pour the cream, season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.


Sprinkle with grated yellow cheese before serving.
