Necessary products:

250 grams of butter

150 grams of powdered sugar

juice and peel of 1 lemon

8 eggs

170 grams of flour

170 grams of starch

For the stuffing:

400 grams of light nougat

100 grams of cream

200 grams of chocolate glaze

Method of preparation:

Preheat oven to 190 degrees.

For the dough: mix the softened butter (or margarine) and 60 grams of powdered sugar, mix until creamy. Gradually, without stopping to beat, add the juice and zest of lemon, egg yolks. Beat the remaining powdered sugar with the egg whites (until thick foam) and add the resulting cream, flour and starch to 1/3 of this mixture. Finally, add the remaining amount of protein. Spread the dough evenly on two sheets of baking paper. Flatten the surface and bake the two loaves in succession (place them on the middle level of the oven for about 15 minutes, until golden brown). Remove the tops from the baking tin, remove the paper, cool and cut each of them into 4 equal rectangles.

For the filling: put the nougat in a metal bowl, melt in a water bath and stir to cool. Whip the cream into a thick foam and add to the cooled nougat.

Spread seven of the pieces of bread with nougat cream, arrange one on top of the other, put the eighth on top - ungreased. Carefully wrap the cake in aluminum foil and press with a wooden board. Leave the cake overnight, pressed with a weight of about 1 kg. The next day, prepare a chocolate glaze, cool it to 32 degrees, pour the cake with it and cut, but after the cake has cooled completely.

Enjoy!
