Required products :

  • 5 - 7 cm ginger root
  • 5 - 6 lemons (you can add orange, lime will also not be superfluous - a matter of taste)
  • 500 grams of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 liters of still mineral water
  • 2 liters of carbonated mineral water

Method of preparation :

Grate the ginger and put it in 1 liter of still water, add the black peppercorns and bring to a boil. When this happens, reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, stirring.

Then remove from the heat and strain the resulting decoction into another container. Add another liter of water to it and return to the hob. Boil for 5 minutes, strain once more for safety and then pour the sugar. Stir thoroughly and allow the mixture to cool. Squeeze the juice from the lemons (and other citrus fruits, if you are going to use them) and immediately add it to the sweet ginger liquid. Wait until it cools completely.

Dilute the drink with carbonated water in a ratio of 1: 1 (maybe to taste according to your preferences), pour into glasses, decorate as desired and serve.
