Ginger root is both a medicine and a spice. It has been used in India and China since time immemorial. Its tea is an excellent remedy for colds, can be used as a tonic and warming drink. Its spicy taste goes great with honey and lemon, and lovers of very spicy could add cardamom, cinnamon and pepper. And another interesting thing - tea is good to drink for weight loss.

Necessary products:

1.2 liters of water

3 tablespoons finely grated ginger

6 tablespoons sugar or 5 tablespoons honey

pinch of ground black pepper

4 tablespoons lemon or orange juice

shredded mint leaves - optional

Method of preparation:

Bring the water to a boil and when this is done, add the ginger. Add sugar or honey (let them dissolve). Then strain. Finally, add lemon (or orange) juice and pepper. Serve hot.

A few tips:

If you have a cold and will use the tea as a medicine, let the grated ginger boil for 10 minutes with the lid open;

If you use dry ginger instead of fresh ginger, reduce the amount twice and simmer for 20 minutes;

If you want to get a refreshing and refreshing drink, add ice cubes and a little more sugar, lemon juice and chopped mint leaves.
