Required products :

500 grams of gnocchi paste (or other type of pasta)
400 grams of peeled canned tomatoes in their own juice
1 onion
dried basil
oil
yellow cheese optional
3 fillets anchovies optional
salt

 

Method of preparation :

Melt the butter if you are going to use anchovies, now is the time to add.

 

Add the finely chopped onion and basil (if using fresh, add it at the end of cooking). Fry until onion is transparent, pour a little water or broth and stew for 10-15 minutes.

 

 

Then pour the minced tomatoes, add salt and let the sauce simmer for about 30 minutes.

 

Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package, then pour in the tomato sauce.

 

Stir and serve. If desired, sprinkle with grated cheese beforehand.
