Required products :

  • 1.6 kg of grapes (dark raisins)
  • 600 grams of sugar
  • 80 milliliters of water
  • 200 grams of walnuts


Method of preparation :

Wash the grapes well and put them in an enamel bowl.

Pour the water into a small saucepan and pour the sugar. Put on medium heat and cook the syrup until the crystals are completely melted.

Pour the sweet liquid over the grapes, stir and leave for 8 hours. Then place on the stove (at low temperature) and cook for 10 minutes after boiling.

Remove the pan from the heat and leave its contents for 4 hours. Once this time has elapsed, put it back on the stove and cook for 5 minutes. Another 4 hours of "rest" follow. Thus, the fruits will absorb the syrup and acquire a rich hue.

Chop or grind the walnuts coarsely, pour them into the jam and mix with a wooden spoon. Put on low heat again, cook for 5 minutes and distribute in pre-sterilized jars. Close them and store them in the refrigerator 24 hours later.

From this amount of products, 1.4 kilograms of finished jam are obtained.
