Necessary products:

 

  • 400 grams of finely ground crusts
  • 100 grams of semolina
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 800 milliliters of fresh milk
  • 1 teaspoon and half sugar
  • 10 grams of baking powder
  • 1 ampoule of vanilla essence
  • 125 grams of butter
  • peel of an orange or lemon
  • 5 grams of cinnamon

 

for syrup

 

  • 2 teaspoons water
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 5 tablespoons honey
  • decoration of choice

 

Method of preparation:

 

Beat the eggs with the sugar and add the semolina, baking powder, vanilla, lemon zest and yolks. Stir until smooth and bring the milk to a simmer. Combine the two mixtures and cook until thickened.

Grease a large rectangular pan, arrange half of the crusts and glaze with melted butter. Spread the cream and arrange the second half. Preheat oven to 200 degrees, put the cake and reduce the power to 170.

Bake the dessert for 40-50 minutes and cool. Meanwhile, mix the water, honey, lemon juice with a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat until the syrup thickens and pour over the milk cake.

Leave it to set overnight. The next day, cut, serve with a decoration of your choice and enjoy it. Extremely gentle, with a dense texture and a wonderful aroma.
