How To Cook Greek Milk Sauce With Lemon Juice, Leeks And Caramelized Onions - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Greek milk sauce with lemon juice, leeks and caramelized onions". Delicious recipe.

Necessary products:

 

  • 500 grams of strained yogurt
  • salt, pepper, cumin
  • juice of one lemon
  • 1 stalk leek, finely chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 10 grams of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

 

Method of preparation:

 

Heat the butter in a pan and fry the leeks first, drain and leave in a bowl. Then saute the onion and caramelize it over low heat. Drain and set aside.

Put the strained milk in a bowl, add salt, pepper, cumin, lemon juice, leeks, olive oil and garlic powder. Stir in the sauce, spread it in a bowl and garnish with the caramelized onions.

The sauce is ideal for roast meats, seafood and fish, as well as vegetables.
