Required products :

  • 4 yellow zucchini (maybe green)
  • left
  • 1/3 tea cup of honey
  • 1/3 tea cup of rice vinegar
  • 1/4 tea cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons hot pepper paste (like sambal oelek)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 lime, cut
  • 1/2 small onion, cut into thin slices
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
  • 1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds

Method of preparation :

Cut the zucchini lengthwise, then make diagonal cuts in them with the tip of a knife. Add salt and drain for 10 minutes. Dry with kitchen paper.

Mix the honey with the soy sauce and chili sauce in a small saucepan. Put on a hot plate and wait for it to boil, then reduce the temperature and reduce the amount by half for about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the heat and add a tablespoon of oil.

Drizzle the zucchini with the remaining oil and stir with your hands.

Arrange them in a tray with the cut side up and spread with copper glaze.

Heat a grill (or barbecue), put the zucchini to bake with the cut side down for about 3 minutes. During this time you need to start caramelizing. Continue baking, turning the zucchini every minute and smearing them with icing. After about 6-8 minutes they should be ready.

Transfer to a large plate, add onions, sprinkle with coriander and sesame seeds and serve.
