How To Cook Grilled Chicory With Red Onions And Fresh Figs - Recipe

  • Required products :
  • 1 lime
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 pieces of chicory, cut into quarters lengthwise
  • 3 red onions, cut into 2 cm pieces
  • 8 figs + 1 cup dried - halved
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil

Method of preparation :

Heat the grill.

Grate the lime peel and mix it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and vinegar. Add honey and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Squeeze the lime juice, mix it with the remaining vinegar, olive oil and salt. Put the chicory and onion in the mixture, stir. Bake on the grill until the vegetables are soft - about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Transfer to a plate, add the figs and basil and pour over the copper dressing with the lime peels.
