How To Cook Guzlemi With Cheese And Spinach On A Plate - Recipe

Required products :

  • 8 grams of dry yeast
  • 300 milliliters of warm water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 3 teaspoons flour
  • 1/3 tea cup olive oil
  • 100 grams of fresh spinach, chopped
  • 200 grams of grated cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon slices for garnish

Method of preparation :

  • In a glass bowl, mix the water, yeast, salt and sugar.
  • Stir with a fork, cover and leave warm for about 5 minutes until bubbles form on the surface.
  • Sift the flour into a large bowl.
  • Add the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and knead a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and transfer it to a greased pan.
  • Cover with a clean towel and leave to rise for about 20 minutes or until it doubles in size.
  • Roll out each piece of dough into a rectangular shape measuring approximately 35/45 centimeters.
  • Place 1/4 of the spinach on half of each rectangle.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  • Fold each piece in half, covering the blank side of the filling and pressing the edges with your fingers to seal.
  • Heat the plate to a medium heat, spread each tablespoon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil on the side that will be baked first and place it on the plate.
  • Bake for about 2-3 minutes, grease the other side and turn. Bake until golden brown.
  • Cut each guzlema into 4 and serve with lemon slices.
