How To Cook Homemade Blocks Of Caramelized Sunflower Seeds - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Homemade blocks of caramelized sunflower seeds". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

200 grams of peeled sunflower seeds

150 grams of sugar

25 grams of butter

Method of preparation :

The seeds must be completely dry, so first pour them into a suitable container, place in the oven at low temperature and stir until they acquire a brownish tinge. Immediately pour into another container and allow to cool.

Melt the butter over medium heat and then add the sugar. Let it melt completely without stirring. Once the mixture boils, the caramel is ready. If you remove it from the stove immediately, its taste will be soft buttery, and if you keep it for a while and a brown color is formed - the taste will be slightly bitter.

When you have finished making the caramel, pour the seeds in it and mix until smooth. This must be done quickly, because the caramel will harden.

Spread the hot mixture in a pan, the bottom of which you have lined with baking paper. The thickness of the layer should be about 1 centimeter. When the caramel starts to harden, make a few deep cuts all over the layer, forming pieces so you can break more easily afterwards.

Store the finished caramelized seeds in a tightly closed container so that they do not get wet.

Enjoy!
