How To Cook Homemade Bread With Herbs, Cheese And Garlic - Recipe

Required products :

Yellow cheese and herbs :

  • 4 tablespoons fresh herbs, finely chopped / dill, rosemary, parsley and thyme /
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 150 grams of yellow cheese, cut into strips 2 millimeters thick
  • lubricating oil

Dry ingredients :

  • 2 1/4 tea cups flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet ingredients :

  • 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 small garlic cloves, pressed

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a small bowl, mix the herbs and olive oil.
  • In another bowl, sift the dry ingredients.
  • Combine the wet ingredients and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  • Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour the wet ingredients into it. Stir.
  • Grease the bread pan with butter and pour 1/3 of the dough into it. Sprinkle with half the herbs and use a knife to distribute them evenly.
  • Arrange 1/2 of the sliced ​​yellow cheese on top - dip some of the slices in the dough and leave the rest on the surface.
  • Pour the rest of the dough, sprinkle with herbs and cheese and distribute them again as described above.
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 30 minutes until the crust turns golden. Remove the bread from the oven, cover the form with foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes. Make sure the middle of the bread is baked using a wooden skewer.
  • Allow it to cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
