Required products :

  • 170 grams of unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 tea cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 340 grams of chocolate chips, semi-sweet

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and cover the bottom of two pans with baking paper.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the cocoa, stir until smooth and remove from the heat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs, brown sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the cocoa mixture and stir.
  • Add the flour, baking soda and salt and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula until smooth.
  • Add the chocolate pieces and stir to distribute evenly.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of the biscuit dough and pour it into the pre-prepared pan.
  • Repeat until the tray is full, leaving about 2 inches between the biscuits.
  • Bake for 9-12 minutes, wait 1 minute to cool and remove them along with the baking paper.
  • Place the chocolate chip cookies on a wire rack or dry flat surface to cool completely.
  • Serve with a cup of hot chocolate or aromatic coffee.
